Family Fun Night

The Family Fun Night that was scheduled for January 12th, has been rescheduled to take place on February 9th!
This is due to the inclement weather.

Chinese New Year

Tomorrow is Chinese New Year day. We will wear red, eat rice and chicken with chop sticks and learn a little about China.

100th Day

Our 100th Day of School is Thursday January 26th!
Students are encouraged to wear something that has 100 items on it. Examples from the past include: shirts and hats with 100 eyeballs, ribbons, flowers, kisses, $1.00, etc.. Have fun designing this fun item with your child!

Picture Day

Friday November 4th is picture day. Our class will have our photos taken at 8:30am.

Pumpkin Day This Friday!

We will be have a pumpkin day this Friday Nov. 4th. We will taste pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin soup, pumpkin bread and make pumpkin play-dough!

Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

We are going to Devine's Pumpkin Patch on October 26th.
Permission slips and information were sent home last week. Please send in all money and signed permission slips no later than Friday October 21st. You can check out the pumpkin patch with this link:

Homework begins next week!

Just right books for nightly reading will be coming home next week for homework.
I will also be sending a homework calendar with suggestions of extra practice.

Fundraiser

Our annual gift and gift-wrap sale “Celebrate the Season” began this week. You received a packet with information and brochure in your child’s backpack. Your participation is appreciated and will help JELV stay current with new technology.

Parent Orientation

Parent Orientation Night is September 1st
Parents are encouraged to attend to learn more about the expectations, curriculum, and meet some of the school staff. This should last about 1 hour.
This is the only time that we asked for the students to remain at home, as there are no activities planned for little ones. A reminder about this is attached.
